“Odessa,” the new Caribou single, is fantastic. It takes his music in an interesting new direction, sounding more electronic than anything since his first album Start Breaking My Heart. The beat is beautifully complex and has some lovely Arthur Russell-like vocals floating on top of the groove. I can’t wait to hear the album, Swim, which will be released on April 20. The video for “Odessa” was just released today:
